We are blessed to regularly receive testimonials about our impact on community members' lives.

If you’ve stopped by the Beaver Valley Mall lately, you may have noticed a little more pedal power around! Communicycle has been growing — and now uses several storefront spaces to help us keep our mission rolling: giving bikes to anyone who needs one and building stronger community connections along the way.

Communicycle’s mission is sustained by a wide network of churches, organizations, and businesses that support the work in many ways. These partners donate building space, provide ongoing materials and supplies, host convenient bike drop-off locations, contribute financially, fund helmet purchases, and organize bike collection projects—often yielding many ready-to-ride bikes. With new partners continuing to join, this broad base of support remains a vital part of Communicycle’s story, and the invitation is always open for others to get involved and help share the joy of riding a bike.

Sometimes, a bike is so much more than just a bike. For Emily and her 6-year-old daughter, Jovi, their visit to Communicycle this summer turned into a day they’ll never forget.

If you’ve been to the Beaver Valley Mall in the past few months, you may have noticed a new display near the fountain. It’s a space created by Communicycle called “The Classics at Communicycle.”

John Lovra has been riding his bike with a purpose for the past eleven years! Every year he pedals with the aim of raising money to get rid of kids’ cancer through The Great Cycle Challenge. He commits to riding his bike a certain number of miles for one month to help raise money and awareness for kids who are diagnosed with cancer.

At Pine Valley Camp, summer is about more than just fun. It’s about creating spaces where kids from all backgrounds can feel safe, try new things, and experience the love of Jesus in action. For campers ages 8–12, that often looks like swimming, archery, campfires—and sometimes, a simple ride on two wheels. “Fun is a bridge to a child’s heart,” says the Kids Camp Program Director, Stephan Graham. “When kids are laughing and trying something new, they’re more open to building relationships, and that’s when deeper growth can happen.”

In 2024 Communicycle established itself at two locations: The workshop in Monaca and a Storefront in the Beaver Valley Mall. These two locations have allowed us to provide site based bike distributions in a way that serves families and individuals in unique ways. The great news is that both of these locations offer fun and easy ways for groups to join in and help!

At Communicycle, we want every bike rider to be safe and confident on the road. That’s why we’re proud to provide free bike helmets to our community at no cost.

On August 16th, 2025, Communicycle loaded up multiple trailers full of bikes and took them to Johnstown, PA for a large distribution. In just an hour, over 150 bikes were given out. This event was hosted by the Johnstown Police and Fire Departments.
Communicycle began organically when we were asked to repair a bike by the grandson of a lady we were building an access ramp for. The next day, this boys friends came along and asked us to fix their bikes.
This need in our community inspired us to try something new, and one connection after another, Communicycle came to life.
