More Than Bikes: The Partnerships That Make It Possible

Communicycle’s mission is sustained by a wide network of churches, organizations, and businesses that support the work in many ways. These partners donate building space, provide ongoing materials and supplies, host convenient bike drop-off locations, contribute financially, fund helmet purchases, and organize bike collection projects—often yielding many ready-to-ride bikes. With new partners continuing to join, this broad base of support remains a vital part of Communicycle’s story, and the invitation is always open for others to get involved and help share the joy of riding a bike.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes we do! You may donate at any of the following donation locations.

Yes! Communicycle is always looking for volunteers to help us refurbish bikes, organize our shop, or to help individuals get the bike they need. No experience necessary. We will teach you anything you need to know.

Yes you can! Because we want to make sure everyone has a fun and safe experience when selecting a bike from Communicycle, you might have to attend multiple events to get a bike that works for each person. We hope that won't deter you.

Our small and medium sized bikes are available at the Beaver Valley Mall. This location is family friendly! We have an indoor riding course, helmets, a huge selection of kids bikes, and a few toys available for the taking. The bikes at this location typically fit kids up to the height of 4'6".

Our large bikes are kept in our workshop in downtown Monaca. This is the space where we refurbish all of the bikes. To keep everyone safe, bikes distributed here are for those who are 4'7" and up. Older kids and adults will find the right bike for them here. Our volunteers will be able to make any adjustments needed to ensure the bike fits.

We do not offer drop off repairs but we're happy to help if we can! For repairs, we do need you to schedule an appointment with us. Then, one of our volunteer mechanics can help give you guidance as you utilize our tools/space.

We don't do the bike repairs for individuals, but we help you do them. Since it isn't a "drop off" service, be sure to schedule enough time to stay and work on your bike.

If you want to schedule a time to repair your bike, please reach out here.

Only on a rare occasion do we have 3 wheel bikes for adults. For those who really are in need, we have a waitlist. If you would like to be added to the 3 wheel waitlist, contact us. We will then notify you when one becomes available.

We do not have E-bikes or repair them.

We do not ship bikes. We are more than happy to give a bike to anyone who needs one, but we need you (or someone you delegate) to come and pick up the bike from one of our locations. If you need help coordinating a time outside of one of our events, please contact us. We will do our best to accommodate.

The address to our parking lot is: 1214 Pennsylvania Ave, Monaca, PA 15061. The building is set off the back of this parking lot. If you use a map app to get there, this address will take you right to the parking lot. Enter the building from the corner facing Pennsylvania Ave. This is a former Family Dollar. The parking lot is next to Anthony's Automotive.

Recycling scrap metal is not only a necessity when doing bike collections and repairs, but it also serves to financially support Communicycle’s overall program. An easy way to donate to Communicycle is to give us your scrap metal or aluminum beverage cans. We have multiple bright green recycling trailers throughout Beaver County. For exact locations and more info on our recycling program, click here.

We do not have an Atlanta, GA location. We know there used to be a Communicycle in the Atlanta area that was never connected to the western PA Communicycle.

To find a similar program in the Atlanta area, try contacting the Clarkston Community Center to see what they know. Or the Bearings Bike Shop could have some information.
