In 2024 Communicycle established itself at two locations: The workshop in Monaca and a Storefront in the Beaver Valley Mall.
These two locations have allowed us to provide site based bike distributions in a way that serves families and individuals in unique ways. The great news is that both of these locations offer fun and easy ways for groups to join in and help!
The workshop in Monaca is just that! It is the place where bikes are donated, refurbished, and then sent out to individuals in our community. At the Shop, volunteers can come and learn about how to fix a bike; and we promise, no previous experience is required! We can find a way for anyone to connect and help us get our bikes ready to ride! From organizing donated parts, to shining up bikes that are ready to go out, to learning more about the mechanics of a bike and getting your hands dirty, there is a way you and the people in your group can help!
At the Mall, volunteers can connect with families and individuals who are looking for a bike for their child! Volunteers help check people in, find the bike that’s just right for the child, and assist with our Learn-To-Ride course in the storefront where kids can practice on a bike and begin to build their bike riding confidence. The Mall provides a volunteer opportunity that connects you with families and kids.
Whether you are a business looking for a way for your employees to serve, a church looking for a local service project, or you want to start serving as an individual we can use your gifts at Communicycle! Bikes are the vehicle we use to make connections between people, and volunteering is one of the best ways to do that!
