At Communicycle, we know bikes are just the beginning. What matters most is what happens through them—connection, trust, and opportunity. In April, Communicycle connected with police in Johnstown, PA for an ongoing partnership to get bikes to more kids!

In Johnstown, PA, a police officer recognized that many kids were walking long distances without reliable transportation. What started as a small effort to repair and give away bikes has grown into a community-wide initiative—now reaching hundreds of kids each year.

Through partnership and shared purpose, Communicycle has been honored to support this work by providing refurbished bikes for local distribution events. But the real impact goes beyond the bikes themselves.

This effort is about building relationships, strengthening community, and creating positive connections between youth and those who serve them. It’s a reminder that something simple—a bike—can become a bridge.
