Paying it Forward, Naturally

This spring we launched our 1,000 Acts of Kindness campaign. We spent the cold and rainy seasons preparing 1,000 bikes for kids and families and this spring we began distributing these bikes in exchange for an act of kindness. Our idea is: 1,000 bikes = 1,000 Acts of Kindness in our communities. This is one of Communicycle's efforts toward showing love to our neighbors- by inviting them to be apart of the serving.

Well, we've been collecting these "Acts of Kindness" stories. They are creative and diverse, and we've loved every one of them so far! Here is one we want to share with you this week:

My kids received bikes from New Brighton Communicycle. They are 10 and 12 years old. Being inspired to pay the act of kindness forward, we organized a cleanup day at Buttermilk Falls in Beaver Falls after visiting with my daughter and seeing how much trash was in the park. We were not only able to ensure that the park was picked up, but we raised awareness, made some great connections, and plan to help keep the park clean moving forward!
